Accomplishments is a needle arts boutique where you can find the best supplies for all types of hand embroidery. Owned and operated by Moira MacAvoy, an accomplished artisan, Accomplishments specializes in traditional and historical techniques, with an emphasis on beautiful designs, natural fibers, and high quality embroidery accessories crafted to last a lifetime.
At Accomplishments you will receive personal attention from our knowledgeable staff. Sampler enthusiasts will love our inventory of charts, linens and specialty threads. We have needlepoint kits from Elizabeth Bradley, Beth Russell, Veronique de Luna and others, as well as hand-painted needlepoint canvases from our favorite designers and lots of embroidery threads to go with them. In addition, we have a great selection of crewel embroidery supplies, including crewel kits from The Crewel Work Company, linen twills and plain-weaves from Europe, Appletons crewel wool from England, and several "how-to" books.
We are happy to assist you with anything purchased here, either framing up your project on stretcher bars or scroll frame, or just getting started with the embroidery. Best of all, we guarantee your satisfaction with the quality of your purchase! Pre-packaged crewel and needlepoint kits from Accomplishments are guaranteed to be complete; if you run out of thread, simply contact us and we will supply what you need to complete the project. And if you require more help with a technique, you can sign up for an individual or group hand embroidery lesson at a time that is convenient for you. Your stitching success is very important to us!
Accomplishments Needlework opened in the year 2000 in Perrysburg, Ohio. In the spring of 2006 we moved to Charlottesville, Virginia and located in the Forest Lakes shopping center on Rte 29, about 10 miles north of downtown Charlottesville.
